Kincardine Cubs to Host 2026 Senior AA Provincial Championships
The Kincardine Cubs will be trying to win a Provincial Championship at home this year. They have been named as hosts of the 2026 Senior AA Provincial Championships. The year end tournament featuring up to 12 of the top amateur baseball teams in Ontario will occur on the weekend of August 28, 29 and 30. Both Tout Field in Kincardine and Dunlop Field in Port Elgin will be used to host the championship tournament.

Tout Field has been home of the Cubs since their inception in 2005. The baseball diamond recently underwent a massive facelift after the 2025 season. Employees for the town expect the new upgrades to put the field on par with the top diamonds in the province. Dunlop Field opened in 2025, and is part of the brand new Lamont Sports Park located at the south end of Port Elgin. The MOSBL expansion Port Elgin White Sox will use Dunlop Field as their home diamond.

Since 2013 the Cubs have won 6 Senior Provincial Championships, including three AA championships between 2021 and 2023. This will be their first time hosting a Senior Provincial Championship Tournament, and the first time that a tournament featuring this many teams of this caliber will be played in the area.
